2026 Cervelo R5 Ultegra Di2 Disc Road Bike

The Cervélo R5 is a true cycling legend. For over twenty years, this model has marked the history of the Cervélo brand, from the iconic R5CA to Wout van Aert's legendary ascent of Mont Ventoux. This bike symbolizes the ultimate quest for performance. In this version, the R5 goes even further with an ultralight chassis of only 5.97 kg (with SRAM RED or Shimano Dura-Ace builds) and stiffness adapted to the demands of the World Tour peloton. Pauline Ferrand-Prévot chose it to win the last Tour de France Femmes.

Designing a lightweight bike is one step, but creating a machine capable of combining lightness, responsiveness, and maximum power delivery for the most demanding riders is another. The Cervélo R5 is designed for long stages in the high mountains, whether on the climbs of the Tour de France or the steep ramps of the Vuelta. A true climber's bike, it stands out for its efficiency on climbs, its instant responsiveness when picking up speed, and its reassuring stability on technical descents. While UCI regulations impose a minimum limit of 6.8 kg, those who are not constrained by this rule will take full advantage of its featherweight, making the Cervélo R5 Ultegra DI2 five black/silver 2026 one of the lightest road bikes available on the market.

A featherweight of only 5.97 kg

In size 56, the Cervélo R5 has a total weight of just 5.97 kg, 900 grams below the UCI limit. The frame, in this same size, weighs 651 grams, while the fork weighs just 298 grams. In addition to the 100 g reduction in the frame/fork assembly, Cervélo has optimized each component for an overall weight saving of 326 g across the entire bike.

Competitive geometry

The geometry of the 2026 Cervélo R5 remains close to that of the previous version, with the exception of a slight adjustment to the bottom bracket to accommodate 29 mm tires. The position has been revised to be closer to that of the S5. So, whether the rider alternates between these two models like the Visma | Lease a Bike team or rides solely on the R5, they will benefit from a more efficient position during fast group rides.

Single-unit cockpit

The HB18 one-piece cockpit offers a weight reduction of approximately 150 grams while offering an aerodynamic gain of two watts compared to the previous R5. Inspired by the S5 handlebar, it has been designed to combine comfort, stiffness and performance, ideal for long stages as well as the most competitive sprints. In addition, all handlebar sizes comply with UCI regulations, including after the recent updates.

Reserve 34 Wheels | 37 Wheelset

The Reserve 34/37 is the wheelset for everything you do on your road bike, designed to find that perfect balance between weight, stability and aerodynamics. It benefits from a wider, shallower front mixed with a narrower, taller rear wheel. Imagined in the wind tunnel and then proven on the tarmac with our professional race teams, the 34|37 provides quick acceleration and predictable handling, conditions be damned.
