The goal was to create a light and strong rim that was aerodynamically optimized around 30 to 32mm tyres. With an inner width of 24mm, the Dual 5550 Evolution has a tubeless-ready hooked rim offering riders the greatest flexibility in tyre choice and tyre pressure. From 30mm road clincher tyres with inner tubes at higher pressures all the way up to 50mm knobby tubeless tyres at very low pressures, the Dual 5550 will thrive in any terrain – on any surface. In addition to both rim and disc brake options, the Dual 5550 is available in tubeless clincher and tubular form, all with Princeton CarbonWorks’ signature hole-less tire bed for the best user experience and maximum stiffness. Hooked rims provide the widest array of tyre choices with no tire pressure maximum, as well as the ability to run both classic inner tubes or tubeless.
At Princeton CarbonWorks, uncompromising performance is a core design tenet, and the Dual 5550 Evolution is not only ready for toughest road and trail conditions but does so with a rim weight below 420g and complete disc-brake wheelset weights as low as 1388g.
